The research workshops of Japanese History in Doshisha Univ.
In Doshisha University, there are several research workshops of Japanese history by students and teaching staff. Please click below items for getting information of the regular meeting.



Neil Gordon Munro who is English and came to Japan in 19 end of a century is doctor in Yokohama city and began to collect archaeology relics. After that,he issued Prehistoric Japan and held his name at archaeology history. His footmark even came to Hokkaido from Southwest island and we keep the part of the earthen vessel, the stone tool and ironware which is collected by him. The stone tools is about fifty which a chipped tomahawk, polished tomahawk and pebble tool occupy a subject in. [1] is a hand ax which was made of flint and come from the United Kingdom. [2] is chipped stone ax and a note with "yokohama" is judged as his autograph. [3] and [4]is polished tomahawk whose blade was made by polished. [3] take on chisels type and show is showing the peculiar shape. Much of stone tool received the fire. That agrees with the record his home burned away about Great Kanto Earthquake.
